About This Project

The approach to vulnerability to me is based on the simple thing, that I don’t like and can’t even talk about the pain and feelings associated with it, until I’ve worked it out on my own, and there’s some kind of solution or healing to the wounds, that is mostly based on my own solutions. I’m trying to develop a practice of what medications I have, some kind of spiritual balm. What “white essences” can I produce that cover most of the colors and types of my pain. One of the defining elements of these for me is water. Which obscures, silks, dissolves, heals everything…

Lake Balaton (Lacus Pelso), or as we call it , “The hungarian see” is a freshwater lake in the Transdanubian region of our country, Hungary. It is the largest lake in Central Europe with the most unique color ever. Turquoise green or blue, you can never predict. This lake has its own mood, feelings and style. Many of us has spent more time here during the summer, then anywhere else, and have lots of memories what’s connected toour childhood. For me this color and the lake itself is very important. It will accompany me all of my life, maybe even take on the blue of the sky. This color is the symbol of freedom for me I think.

I am stading in the kitchen at Lake Balaton, the stone is cold. I am always frozen by the simpe play of light and shadow that lies at my feet. From outside, the whole world drops in at my toes. The sun’s warm light warms the ground beneath me. Np, Mum, I’m not going to get a cold, just let me stand here and admire it a little longer.

I have been collecting bugs by the lake since I was a child. i look at them with regret when they stop moving, but it’s often the only way I can admire them even more. Their beauty is not lost for me even if they are dead, they are still a jewel with their colours ans shapes. I am not disturbed by their presence even when I find them around me in the garden or at breakfast. We can all fit on my plate.

Ever made a swing from willow branches? if not, I highly recommend it! Flying up inte the sky ins a pile of leaves, with your legs outstretched, falling into the clouds feels incredible. If your are little, or you’re grown up…”Never loose your childish innocence! Thats the most important thing.”

There is only one place in this world for mewhere there is no excess and no rubbish. A ramshackle house is just a museum, and the abadoned objects of its former occupants gather dust like the beauties in the display cases on Múzem Körút. There is no such thing on Lake Balaton. There nevere will be.
So, this chair too, just got lost in the middle of the field, on it’s way up to the hill to the wine cellars. It was so hat theat it threw off it’s coat and trousers. He embraced the weary hiker and offered a hand to those in a good mood. I welcomed him too. Now he’s offering you a place in my studio.

This nest was made by an architect master, one of the species of Remiz Pendulinus. I watched for weeks to see when it would be finished and empty so I could get a closed look. But good work takes time, and this nest is a masterpiece. So much so, that in the old days, the people of the marshes would specifically seek out these nests to use as slippers for their homes or as linings for boots. They are made for protection, yet they have a delicate softness and fragility. You don’t just snatch them off the tree, you carry them in the palm of your hand, or even home with delicate steps. It’s walls are thick reed, and inside it’s like a cotton ball. Still, even the biggest storm can only crandle it, but can’t cause damage in it. Such is my home. It gentls caresses me, wraps me in it’s softness. And when I need to go on a journey, it defies everything, it’s there at my back and it stays strong. And I can always crawl back into it.
